I’m a guitarist, poet, and composer focusing on themes of love, identity, and desire through a lens of modern feminism. In other words I write songs with sick guitar solos about cleaning cum off designer jeans. I make music as Katy the Kyng and have performed and recorded with Marc Ribot, Ches Smith, Weasel Walter’s The Flying Luttenbachers, Irrevery, Sam Sodomsky’s The Bird Calls, Woody Goss of Vulfpeck, and numerous other projects. My debut album, Selfies Of You, will be released June 28, 2024 on Ryley Walker’s Husky Pants records. I live in Brooklyn with my 2001 Fender Stratocaster and my three-legged cat, Rigoletto.
